Rema whose birth name is Divine Ikubor grew up in the City of Benin which is situated at Edo State into a Christian family, where he finished both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate which is popularly known as WAEC.

Rema lived his early life in Benin City where he normally raps in local churches and schools at a very young age.

During Rema time in school moved on to create his own personal live band and not so long until he was known for his talent by D’Prince who is actually the current Chief Executive Officier of Jonzingworld Record and also the immediate younger brother to Nigerian billionaire artiste and producer Don Jazzy, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records.

If you've listened to Rema voice you have to still ask yourself is it Rema or Wizkid?

You don't have to worry Rema voice is a replica of Wizkid. Who knows maybe he locked himself up in a room, listened to all of Wizkid’s materials from the beginning and reworked the whole Wizkid sound.

Rema sounds like a copied version of wishful voice, it's a bit disappointing that an upcoming artist has a duplicate voice of a superstar instead of setting his own pattern, this approach might not do him any good in the industry.

According to recent reports, he’s had over 1 Million streams, but being strict to his own pattern is far much better than trying to compete with an artist for that has been on his peak years for about 5 years who also created his own sound.

Taking Davido into consideration, even though his voice sounds poor, his fan still like him, why?  It is simply because his “ voice” is special and once we hear that voice, we all know who is singing, he does not copy someone sounds to have fame.

Rema might seriously get affected once Wizkid comes back from his break. After he's back, people will now take Rema as a copycat, his estimated commercial value might drastically get affected and also his fame might just go down a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Rema by the way, we all like his sound, but he needs to stick to his own pattern rather than resembling Wizkid by copying his voice to his song.

If he continues like this and doesn't change, we knowns maybe he won't stay relevant in this very competitive and tightly congested music industry.
Not long after the Wizkid issue, Zanku singer, Zlatan Ibile was seen mocking the newly signed, Rema freestyle “Spiderman” as fans his huge numbers of fans react.

Zlatan Mobile, during an Instagram Live video, mocked the newly signed Mavin’s Record potential superstar, during the live video he copied exactly what Rema does in his freestyle session in a scornful manner.
Few weeks after that Rema was seen sharing a photo of himself filled up with dollar bills as he was been nostalgic of when he suffered before he was signed by Mavin's record and his growing fame which had made his fans react.
He wrote:
“I remember when I dey suffer.”

Rema fans are starting to react as they assumed its a lie he never suffered at all. They also claimed he recently finished secondary school as they continuously ask for his jamb result.

Rema is really one of the talented superstars, hitting over a million steam within few months isn't a joke, with all these do you really think Rema is worth the hype? Drop your comment(s) below!
